Nushrat Bharucha: I do not support size zero to stay fit and healthy

Nushrat Bharucha is currently enjoying the positive response of her recently released film Dream Girl. The actress is not only selective about her roles but her lifestyle choices as well. The Pyaar ka Punchnama fame has never believed in preaching size zero image and promotes eating healthy and maintaining a balanced lifestyle. The Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety actress talked about her diet and fitness routine in an interview. 

In the interview with a newsagency, Nushrat was quoted saying that being fit has no connection with having a size zero body. One needs to understand his/her own body type and specific needs to fix an optimum level of health that one wants to achieve. Eventually, it is all about feeling good on the inside and maintaining health that helps you feel energetic throughout the day. In the interview, the actress also shared details about her fitness routine and maintaining a balanced lifestyle.

While shooting, the actress follows her trainer’s advice to the dot. Her fitness and diet routine varies according to the role she is about to play or the demand for a particular schedule. Reportedly, the actor has lately been on complete fruit and no-carbs diet and achieved her fitness goals by being motivated throughout the process. In the same interview, she shared a few health tips for millennials and also understood how the fast-paced lifestyle affects their health choices.

Advise for Millennials

The 34-year-old actress said that eating the right food in the right amount is important. Millennials today are very pressed on time and are always on the go. This constant pressure of time constraints leads to skipping meals. She further busted a common myth that skipping meals will help in losing weight. The Dream Girl actress stressed on the fact that skipping meals will eventually lead to weight gain rather than aid shed those extra pounds. She advised that eating right and observing your body is important to understand its needs.

Nushrat’s personal diet is a high-protein and low-carb diet. She makes sure to drink at least three-four glasses of water on a daily basis and also takes Omega-3 supplements. The actress prefers homemade food and avoids eating fried food items to reduce fat build-up. The actress was quoted saying that she loves drinking fresh-fruit juices as they facilitate the detoxification process for the body. Nushrat has a sweet tooth and hence is in a constant battle to reduce her sweet consumption. She revealed that she sometimes gives in to her craving but controls the proportion and frequency.
