Child actor Aarush Varma files a petition against A certification

Aarush Varma from OMG 2 recently took to his Instagram handle to urge netizens to sign a petition that he filed with Change.org. The child actor filed the petition to get rid of the A certification imposed on his movie by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). As per CBFC, an A certification restricts the movie only to the adult audience (aged above 18) and only they can watch the film publicly.

Meanwhile, movies with UA certification allow children to watch a film under the guidance of their parents. Due to the A certification, Aarush has been banned from watching his own performance in the movie. He wrote, "Hello everyone please sign this petition to help in getting rid of the A certification on my film" and expressed gratitude.

Aarush Varma's statement in the petition

In the petition, Aarush Varma expressed disappointment against the A certification by the CBFC. He stated, "The entire purpose of making this film as much as I know from my director Amit Rai Sir was to open discussions on the need of Sex Education but unfortunately the film itself has become a subject of discussion with being given an A certificate." He further added, "Being a 16-year-old, I know the issues we face and there are so many things for which we do not find the right answer."
