OMG 2 BO collection day 12: Akshay Kumar film registers lowest collection on Tuesday

OMG 2 had opened in theatres alongside Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 which has collected ₹400.70 crore nett after twelve days of its release.

OMG 2 starring Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi hit the big screens on August 11. In twelve days of its theatrical run, the Akshay Kumar starrer has paced rather slowly as compared to Gadar 2 which released on the same day and has entered the ₹400 crore club. Akshay's film, which recently breached the ₹100 crore mark, registered a decline in Tuesday's collections, amassing ₹3.20 crore.

OMG 2 registers lowest ever collection

OMG 2 opened with an impressive ₹10.26 crore but it seems to have slowed down in its second week. As per early estimates by Sacnilk.com, the Akshay Kumar starrer minted a meagre ₹3.20 crore on Tuesday, the lowest collection since the film released on August 11. The film’s total collection stands at ₹120.62 crores in India so far.

OMG 2 success breaks Akshay Kumar’s dry spell at the box office

OMG 2 is Akshay Kumar's first film after Sooryavanshi (2021) which has crossed the ₹100 crore mark. Before this, the actor had a string of flops -- Samrat Prithviraj (Rs 68.05 crore), Ram Setu (Rs 71.87 crore), Bachchhan Paandey (Rs 49.98 crore), Raksha Bandhan (Rs 44.39 crore), and Selfiee (Rs 16.85 crore).

OMG 2 slow growth at the box office is attributed to Gadar 2 success 

OMG 2 had opened in theatres alongside Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 which has collected ₹400.70 crore nett after twelve days of its release. Globally, Sunny's film has crossed ₹522.08 crore while Akshay's OMG 2 has minted ₹163.55, as per industry tracker Sacnilk.
