Omung Kumar announces 'Fauja', a biopic on the life of world's oldest marathon runner

Director and producer Omung Kumar, most-popular for his biographical drama Sarbjit and sports biopic Mary Kom will be directing ar sports biopic dedicated to Marathon runner Fauja Singh. Tre analyst Taran arsh anunced this news on Instagram, sharing that film is an aptation of popular book Turbaned Torno. Fauja Singh is a British Marathon runner, better kwn as Sikh Superman. Omung Kumar to direct Fauja Singh's biopic
Sharing a picture of team of Fauja on Instagram, Taran posted details about Omung Kumar's next. He also shared that upcoming sports biopic in Bollywood will be co-produced by Raaj Shaandilyaa and Kunal Shivdasani. Omung Kumar's next will follow story of Fauja Singh, better kwn as Sikh Superman. He stunned world by shattering a number of records in multiple brackets as one of oldest marathon runners.

Fauja Singh me his debut as a Marathon Runner in year 2000, at of 89. So far, 109-year-old marathon runner has completed London Marathon six times and has also finished marathons in Toronto, New York, among or places. screenplay is an aptation of Khushwant Singh's book Turbaned Torno, published by Rupa Publications. As per reports by Deline, Vipul Mehta is penning script for Fauja Singh.

During an interview with Deline, producer of film Kunal Shivdasani said that film is a beautiful story about a man whose life takes him on an epic journey, making him a world icon as he discovers his passion for running marathons. Eventually, this led him to make an impact on world by bringing a change to humanity. Speaking about director Omung Kumar, producer said that he's a dear friend and y share same vision for film. He has directed two of best and most successful biopics in country and having him on director's chair was a unanimous decision.

co-producer of film, Raaj Shaandilyaa said that Fauja Singh is real king and y were all houred to present his story in form of a cinematic experience for Indian diaspora world over. He ded that story will take viewers on a journey through time and make m realise what ir grandparents have been through hit home.
