Ratan Tata Death : The visionary industrialist and chairman emeritus of Tata Sons died late on Wednesday night at the age of 86. As per reports, he had been receiving treatment for a prolonged illness at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital in recent days. A state funeral was held in his honour, with many expressing their condolences on social media. When Boman Irani play Ratan Tata in PM Narendra Modi ’s biopic
On May 24, 2019, the biographical drama film about Prime Minister Narendra Modi premiered. Produced by Sandip Ssingh and Suresh Oberoi, the film was directed by Omung Kumar and features an ensemble cast, with Vivek Anand Oberoi playing the role of PM Narendra Modi . Late Ratan Tata, a renowned business tycoon, is also portrayed in the film.
Boman Irani was cast in the role of Ratan Tata. He had also previously mentioned, receiving comments on social media about his resemblance to Tata and had always wanted to play such a character. When Omung, Sandip, and Vivek approached him for the role, he agreed immediately. He commended the team for their efforts, noting that Omung was doing a fantastic job, and mentioned that they had already finished filming his scenes successfully. Boman shot his scenes for the biopic in Ahmedabad. The film garnered mixed reviews, partly due to its controversial political themes.
Ratan Tata dies, nation in mourning
Tata Group’s chairman emeritus and veteran industrialist Ratan Tata died at a Mumbai hospital late on Wednesday night. Tata, who led the salt-to-software conglomerate to new heights, was 86. A recipient of Padma Vibhushan, he breathed his last at south Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital at 11.30 pm, a top police official told PTI.
“It is with a profound sense of loss that we bid farewell to Mr Ratan Naval Tata, a truly uncommon leader whose immeasurable contributions have shaped not only the Tata Group but also the very fabric of our nation,” Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran said in a statement.
