Pagalpanti Movie: John Abraham to recreate Tera Bimaar Mera Dil

The trend of picking up old Bollywood classics and recreating them for the new generation audiences is surely here to stay. A new addition to the list is John Abraham’s Pagalpanti. It has been reported that the makers of the film will be recreating late actor Sridevi’s song Tera Bimaar Mera Dil from Chaalbaaz. The original was termed to be one of the biggest hit love songs.

About the original

According to reports, the lead actors, John Abraham and Ileana D’Cruz will feature in the remake. The 1989 chartbuster was sung by Mohammad Aziz and Kavita Krishnamurthy. The song was composed by legendary composer duo Laxmikant-Pyarelal and penned by Anand Bakshi. Tera Bimaar Mera Dil showcased the notorious chemistry between Sunny Deol and Sridevi.

What is in the remake?

The newer version of Tera Bimaar Mera Dil will also feature the key cast with the pair.  The makers of Pagalpanti aim to keep the fun and entertainment factor in the song intact. The song will be given a contemporary approach. The song will take the audience back to the original with its nostalgia factor.

About the film

Pagalpanti is being directed by Anees Bazmee. The cast of the multi-starrer includes Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, Arshad Warsi, Pulkit Samrat, Ileana D’Cruz, Urvashi Rautela, Kriti Kharbanda, and Saurabh Shukla. Pagalpanti revolves around the story of a group of tourists from India. They go on a vacation trip to London that turns into a mission. The film has been vastly shot in London and India.

The film was initially scheduled to release on November 8, 2019. It has now been shifted to November 22, 2019. Pagalpanti will now see a clash with the Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Bala. John Abraham will be reuniting with his Welcome Back director for the film. John is currently riding high on the success of his previous film Batla House.
