Though arguement is that historic battle is a part of public domain, he claimed in report that makers h 'lifted' several ideas from his book, like that of Parvati Bai, second wife of Sashivrao Bhau, being a warrior.
" history book has shown her as a woman wielding a sword... she, for longest time, has been seen as a feeble woman only. I was first person to give a sword in her hand... I wrote book in that way... be it dialogues, plots or sub plots. And this is just one of many examples," Patil said.
He ded, "I have spent eight years with his project ('Panipat'), six with book and two with play. t putting up a fight was t an option. Also, I think one needs to take on se big companies and directors, orwise y will make a habit out of this and go on stealing hard work of poor writers."
