Panipat (2019) is an upcoming Bollywood movie based on the third battle of Panipat. Written and directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, the film is set to release later this year. The cast of Panipat includes Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Zeenat Aman, and Padmini Kolhapure among a host of other actors. Here is a look at Arjun Kapoor’s character for the movie Panipat.

Arjun to play Maratha leader Sadashivrao Bhau
Arjun Kapoor, the actor who last made an appearance in the 2019 Bollywood movie, India’s Most Wanted, will soon be seen in Panipat. He will play the role of Sadashivrao Bhau, the Maratha leader, in the film. The film also features Sanjay Dutt, who will be seen in the shoes of Ahmad Shah Abdali. Panipat is a period drama film based on the battle of Panipat fought between the Marathas and the Afghans, in the year 1761.

According to the reports, Kriti Sanon will be seen playing Parvati Bai, who was the second wife of Sadashivrao Bhau. Veteran actors such as Zeenat Aman and Padmini Kolhapure are also a part of the star cast. Sunita Gowariker and Rohit Shelatkar are the producers of Panipat. The music director duo of Ajay-Atul is leading the music of the film.

India’s Most Wanted actor, Arjun Kapoor, made his Bollywood debut with the 2012 movie Ishaqzaade. Some of his notable works are his debut movie Ishaqzaade (2012), Gunday (2014), and 2 States (2014). The Panipat saga will be written and directed by the Everest director, Ashutosh Gowarikar. Gowarikar is known for his works like Lagaan: Once Upon A Time In India (2001), Swades (2004) and Jodhaa Akbar (2008). Panipat is in its filming stage right now. According to reports, the movie has been tentatively scheduled to release on December 6, 2019.
