For the uninitiated, she was the second wife of Sadashivrao Bhau that will be played by Arjun Kapoor in the film. Speaking about the film, Sanon to a news agency had said, " It is a great story that needs to be told. I like the character of Parvati Bai, especially the way Ashu sir has written it. It did attract me as I have never done something like this before. I was initially confused like how come he thought of me to play this Marathi girl because I am a North Indian, Punjabi"
Before Kriti, Sanjay Dutt's look from the film was also revealed. Sanjay Dutt can be seen donning a heavy military gear all prepared for battle! Playing Ahmad Shah Abdali, the actor looks quite fierce and intense!

The story of Panipat essays one of the most historic battles that happened between the Marathas and the King of Afghanistan, Ahmad Shah Abdali. Sanjay Dutt will be playing the character of Ahmad Shah Abdali. Arjun Kapoor will portray the role of Sadashiv Rao Bhau in the film.
