Arjun Kapoor's newest historical film Panipat: The Great Betrayal has evidently had a lot of hype surrounding it ever since it was announced. The film will feature Arjun Kapoor as Sadashiv Rao Bhau, the commander-in-chief at the third battle of Panipat. The film will also feature Kriti Sanon and Sanjay Dutt alongside Arjun in pivotal roles. Directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, the film will be a historical period action drama, the director has previously made historical dramas like Mohenjo Daro and Lagaan. Makers of the film recently shared the first look poster and characters posters of the film today. The trailer of the film is expected to drop on November 5, 2019. Sanjay Dutt will be essaying a negative role, that of Ahmad Shah Abdali, a Mughal emperor. Kriti Sanon will be portraying the character of Parvati Bai, Sadashiv Rao's wife. The film is produced by Ashutosh Gowariker's wife Sunita Gowariker in association with Vision World production house. The film is slated for a grand release on December 6, 2019.
