Panipat (2019) is an upcoming Bollywood movie based on third battle of Panipat. Written and directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, film is set to release later this year. cast of Panipat includes Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Kapoor, Kriti San, Zeenat Aman, and Pmini Kolhapure among a host of or actors. Sashivrao Bhau is son of Peshwa Baji Rao's bror Chimaji Appa. leer lost his mor and far at a young . He aspired to become a Peshwa from a young . He was trained under Ramchandrababa Shenvi in Satara till he became a Peshwa. His first battle as a Peshwa was in 1746 as Babuji Naik and Fateh Singh Bhonsle h failed to gain territories of western Karnataka. In a one-year campaign, Sashivrao Bhau and his political visers Mahoba Purandare and Sakharam Bapu won ir first battle at Ajra, south of Kolhapur. By 1960, he h annexed cities of Kittur, Bagalkot, Bami, Navalgund, Parasg, Gokak, Torgal, Haliyal, Harihar, Yw, Umbal, Giri, and Basavapatna.

His major battle was battle of Panipat in year 1760 against Ahmedshah Abdali. All Muslims leers of rth India were persued by Abdali and Najib to join Afghans in name of religion. Threated by this, Raja Vijay Singh of Jodhpur and Kachawa Prince Mho Singh of Amber also allied, and joined Abdali to be safe from rrn force of Afghans who were kwn to be very hostile towards Hindus, as Afghans h massacred a lot of people in Punjab and Mathura.

Meanwhile, in South of India, Nanasaheb Peshwa chose Sashivrao Bhau to le Maratha army to Delhi. Sashivrao Bhau was unfamiliar with politics in those regions yet he was selected over Malharrao Holkar (Peshwa's chief general) and Raghunathrao (Peshwa of Maratha Empire) who h deep kwledge of rrn India. cost of this was high as he was t able to form an alliance with kings in that region. An army of 45,000-60,000 warriors marched to rth. Maratha forces of Holkar and Scindia also joined army. He used hit-and-run tactics successfully many times.
