Panipat: Some unknown facts about Arjun Kapoor's historical drama

Ashutosh Gowariker’s next venture Panipat is another historical movie to be released this year. Starring Arjun Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Sanjay Dutt, the film is going to hit the cinemas on December 6, 2019. The movie will tell the story of the Battle of Panipat, which was fought in 1761 between Marathas and army of Afghan invader, Ahmad Shah Abdali. Music composer Ajay-Atul is composing the music for the movie. Here are some unknown facts about the movie you need to know.

1. More than 100 people are working for the film. Ashutosh Gowariker is all ready to recreate the historical war on screen. According to a report, Ashutosh has roped in 110-115 actors for the movie and everyone will have a substantial role in it. Reportedly, the film will be a huge cinematic experience for the audience.

2. Not much is known about the character of Kriti Sanon-Parvati Bai. The actor, in an interview, informed that Ashutosh has layered the character of Parvati Bai very well. She further added that her role in the film was very challenging as being a North Indian, it was difficult for her to play the character of a Maharashtrian lady. She also credited Ashutosh for Panipat and thanked the director for giving her opportunity in the movie.

3. The film also stars Zeenat Aman as Sakina Begam. Zeenat and Ashutosh worked together in Gawaahi in 1989. Talking about the same, Ashutosh, in an interview, shared that it was an honour for him to direct Zeenat. He added that Sakina Begum played an important role in the Battle of Panipat when Peshwas turned to her for help.

On the work front, Sanjay Dutt will be next seen in Shamshera and Bhuj: The Pride of India. The last movie of Sanjay Dutt was Kalank, but it did not perform well at the box office. On the other hand, Raabta actor Kriti Sanon will be next seen in Housefull 4 with many actors of the industry. Housefull 4 is set to release this Diwali.
