Panipat: Zeenat Aman as Sakina Begum in the much-awaited period drama
Actor Arjun Kapoor took to Instagram to unveil the first look of Zeenat Aman's character Sakina Begum from his upcoming Ashutosh Gowarikar film 'Panipat'.

Panipat is an upcoming historical drama movie directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. The film is set to release on December 6, 2019. It will feature Kriti Sanon, Sanjay Dutt, and Arjun Kapoor in the lead roles. The movie is based on the third battle of Panipat which was a brutal and major battle fought between the Marathas and the Afghani army. This is the third historic fiction movie directed by Gowariker.
Arjun Kapoor took to his social media accounts to introduce veteran actor Zeenat Aman as Sakina Begum in a poster of the film Panipat. According to the character's history, Sakina Bano Begum, who was the daughter of Mughal emperor Humayun, only lived within the confines of her kingdom, away from the politics of the region. She was the leader of Hoshiyarganj province who helped the Maratha Peshwa during the battle of Panipat. She played an important part when the Peshwas turned to her for help.

The Ashutosh Gowarikar-directorial will feature combat between protagonist Arjun Kapoor's character Sadashiv Rao and antagonist Sanjay Dutt's character Ahmad Shah Abdali. Other star cast includes Kriti Sanon as Parvati Bai, the love interest of Arjun Kapoor's character and Padmini Kolhapure as Gopika Bai. Arjun Kapoor also took to Instagram to introduce actor Mohnish Behl as Nana Saheb Peshwa.

Trailer of the epic battle
The trailer which was released earlier saw Bollywood celebrities showering praises. Netizens have also appreciated the trailer of this much-anticipated period drama. The trailer features the ensemble cast of the movie and sets the ground for the final battle of Panipat.
