Pankaj Tripathi mistook a Gadar 2 poster for Sunny Deol? Actor reveals

Pankaj Tripathi, who was recently seen in OMG 2, opened up about a hilarious incident when he mistook Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 poster for him. OMG 2 witnessed a clash with Gadar 2 at the box office, as both films were released on August 11. Due to this, the posters of both films were placed at various places across Mumbai.

When Pankaj Tripathi met Sunny Deol

Speaking to Bollywood Bubble, Pankaj Tripathi narrated a hilarious incident where he went on to greet Sunny Deol only to realise that it was a poster. He said that when he arrived, in front of his car there was a poster of Gadar 2. As he was sitting inside the car, he couldn't see what was written underneath the poster. So he got out to greet Sunny Deol. 

He added that the poster appeared so lively that he went up to it to greet the actor. However, as soon as he bent to say “namaste," he noticed the film's name Gadar 2 written below the poster. 

OMG 2 VS Gadar 2 box office collection

While The film was released simultaneously on August 11, Gadar 2 had a blockbuster start on the first day at the box office, but OMG 2 witnessed a lukewarm start. Sunny Deol's film earned Rs 40.10 crore, while Akshay Kumar's film minted Rs 10.26 crore.

On the second day, Gadar 2 collected over Rs 83 crore in India, while OMG 2 earned Rs 25.56 crore. Seeing the Day 2 collection, Gadar 2's collection was in the same range as Day 1, while OMG 2 saw a 50 percent jump in its earnings.
