Parinda throwback: Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor reminisce 'hard' scenes

It has been 30 years since release of Bollywood's iconic film Parinda which starred actors Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar and Madhuri Dixit. film made a statement as it portrayed workings of underworld very realistically. film paved way to stardom for t just se actors but also for director Vidhu Vid Chopra.
To hour movie after 30 years of its release, production house Vidhu Vid Chopra Films has shared many videos through its social media handle. In one of videos, Jackie Shroff recalled an interesting anecdote from 30 years ago and stated that he had to slap Anil Kapoor, who played his younger bror in movie, 17 times in order to get scene right. scene is shown in video repeatedly.

This film has iconic Ram Lakhan duo of actors Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff as brors. In video, Jackie Shroff revealed that Anil Kapoor wanted scene, where he is slapped by Jackie Shroff's character, to be executed with such perfection that director had to re-take shot 17 times. Jackie said that he had to actually slap Anil Kapoor to capture his reaction properly.

Parinda was a trendsetter for t just its storyline and dialogues but also for its songs. song 'Tumse milke aisa laga' is one of most popular romantic Bollywood songs of all times. Nana Patekar went on to win National Award for his role in Parinda. Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor also performed brilliantly in ir roles as brors Kishan and Karan respectively.

After producing Sonam Kapoor-starrer Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga this year, Vidhu Vid Chopra is set to make a directorial comeback with 'Shikara' next year. film is supposedly based on 1990s exodus of Kashmiri Pandits and will be shot extensively in valleys of rth. Taran Adarsh had anunced film on social media earlier this year.
