Stepping into the shoes of a sportsperson is never easy. From achieving a physique like them to getting the mannerism and playing style accurately, an actor has a massive job on his/her hand that no one VFX or visual effect can cover up. Parineeti Chopra would agree to this statement, as she readies herself for the biopic on Saina Nehwal. The actor is sweating it out by training herself intensely for the role, and had a light-hearted take over the intense training sessions. The ‘Ishaqzaade’ star quipped that the badminton training had become an ‘All day’ ‘everyday’ routine for her nowadays.
Parineeti Chopra on Thursday shared a candid snap, where she is sitting on the badminton court, and wiping the sweat on her neck. Even there, she seems to be looking at her racquet, something that probably signifies her focus. She captioned the post, almost like a meme, “Me. All day everyday nowadays🏸.”
Sania Nehwal is one of the most accomplished names in badminton in the country in history, notably winning an Olympics bronze medal, apart from several titles. The biopic is being directed by director-actor Amole Gupte. Earlier, Shraddha Kapoor was working on the film, but Parineeti Chopra took over the role in March. The actor often shares pictures and videos from her training sessions.
Parineeti is expected to start shooting for the film this month. In June, she had tweeted, “Hi everyone, we have NOT started the shoot of #Saina yet. I am still learning how to play Badminton! We will start in October once I get better at it!! 4 MONTHS TO GO! #Saina.”
Professional front
Apart from the Saina biopic, Parineeti Chopra had two releases this year. Kesari was a hit at the box office, but she had a very small role in it. Jabariya Jodi opposite Sidharth Malhotra proved to be a failure at the ticket windows. She is now gearing up for another film, The Girl on the Train, where she plays an intense character. The release of the first look, where she is seen with blood on her face and shoulder, had created intense buzz on social media. Parineeti Chopra had recently completed shooting the movie after seven weeks of shooting in London.
