Parineeti Chopra starts filming 'The Girl on the Train' Hindi adaptation

film, to be directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, is an official remake of 2016 thriller featuring Emily Blunt.

In movie, Parineeti will play an alcoholic divorcee, who becomes involved in a missing person's investigation. It is produced by Reliance Entertainment. Set in UK, film will also feature iti Rao Hydari, Kirti Kulhari and Avinash Tiwari.
30 year-old actor also took to her Instagram story, where she shared film's clapboard.

Hollywood film was based on author Paula Hawkin's 2015 debut vel of same name. Based on 2015 bestseller by author, film narrates story of a divorcee woman who gets entangled in a missing persons investigation that puts her through unwanted situations.

Talking to media, spunky actor said that she is aware that when a remake of a critically-acclaimed movie is me, it comes with a lot of expectations especially from audience who is bound to draw comparisons between book and movie or character portrayed by actor Emily Blunt and herself.
Apart from Girl On Train, Parineeti has multiple or projects lined up for coming year. se include 'Jabariya Jodi', which also features Siddharth Malhotra, 'Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar' with Arjun Kapoor, 'Bhuj: Pride Of India' and Saina Nehwal's biopic.
