Having over 50 million followers on Twitter and more than 44 million followers on Facebook is tremendous to say the least and that was evident when PM Narendra Modi celebrated his 69th birthday on Tuesday. #HappyBdayPMModi and many other trends dominated social media right after the clock hit midnight. 

Not just the citizens and those from the political field, including so-called ‘rivals’, but also those belonging to sports, entertainment and other industries conveyed their greetings to the Prime Minister on his special occasion. One of the important personalities to wish Prime Minister Narendra Modi was Lata Mangeshkar. The legendary singer praised PM Narendra Modi for his patriotism and his determination to make India progress and shared that this delighted her immensely, while sending her wishes to the Prime Minister.

Lata Mangeshkar wishes PM Modi 

Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, Mangeshkar in Hindi first greeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his birthday. She then stated that PM’s patriotism and his relentless efforts were taking India on the path of progress. The 89-year-old expressed her delight for the same. The Bharat Ratna then wrote that she prayed to the Almighty that all of PM’s wishes are fulfilled and concluded the post by writing that this was a message from his sister.

Lata Mangeshkar, like PM Modi, celebrates her birthday in September and she is set to turn 90 on 28th of this month.

Wishes galore 

Apart from Lata Mangeshkar, several other celebrities from the film industry like Ajay Devgn and Ayushmann Khurrana also wished Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Chief Ministers, Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh, Mamata Banerjee of West Bengal, Manohar Lal Khattar of Haryana, Dr. Pramod Sawant of Goa, Vijay Rupani of Gujarat also extended their greetings. Union Ministers like Rajnath Singh, Piyush Goyal and other Bharatiya Janata Party leaders also wished the PM on his birthday.
