The journey to becoming a superstar is a long one with may trials and tribulations. One of the actors who went unnoticed for a long time before getting his due was Prabhas. He got the attention he deserved when he acted in the epic and very famous Baahubali: The Beginning. This film was turned down by a lot of actors, and then Prabhas was the one to go for the movie which established him as a headliner in the record-breaking film.

Prabhas never wished to be an actor, he wanted to be a businessman but his uncle insisted on trying his luck with films, as per reports. He made his acting debut with Eeswar which did not do well at the box office. His next movie Raghavendra failed at establishing him as a great actor. In 2004, Prabhas came out with a new movie, Varsham which was a blockbuster. He got his first breakthrough from Varsham and since then he has been going up the ladder. He also got the CineMAA Award for the Best Actor for the same. He then went on to do the SS Rajamouli directed, Chhatrapati in the year 2005. He was appreciated for his unique style in the movie. He then went on to do movies like The Return Of Rebel 2, Sabse Badhkar Hum, The Return Of Rebel and Khatarnak Khiladi. He then went on to do the record-breaking Baahubali: The Beginning which established him as a great actor. His latest movie includes Saaho, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion and Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy.

He was given the Nandi Award for Best Actor, for his role in Mirchi. He is the first south Indian actor to have a wax sculpture at Madame Tussaud's wax museum.
