Priyanka Chopra opens up on 'Bharat' exit & equation with Salman Khan

Priyanka Chopra in an interview with a leading media publication spoke about her decision of walking out from the Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer 'Bharat'.

Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra, who is currently promoting her upcoming film 'The Sky Is Pink' alongside Shonali Bose, Farhan Akhtar and Rohit Saraf in a recent interview with a leading media publication spoke about her decision of walking out from the Salman Khan starrer 'Bharat'. When she was asked to react to the jibes made by Khan, she stated that if there was a reaction required to it, then one would have had it by now". She went on to say that 'everything is okay' between her and Salman Khan and that there has never been a strain in her rapport with him. Calling Salman Khan 'amazing', she added,  I've always admired him. He came to Nick and my reception, we went to his house. I'm really close to his sister (Arpita Khan). So, there's never an issue with him."

For the uninitiated, just a few weeks prior to her wedding with singer-songwriter Nick Jonas, the actress had walked out of the film. Ali Abbas Zafar, the director of the Salman Khan starrer too took to social media to inform the viewers and stated that she had decided to walk out at the 'Nick' of time.

About the film: 

'Bharat' was backed by Atul Agnihotri, Alvira Khan Agnihotri, Bhushan Kumar's T-Series and Salman Khan. The film which released under the banner of Reel Life Productions, Salman Khan Films, and T-Series also stars Disha Patani, Sunil Grover and Nora Fatehi in pivotal roles. 'Bharat' is an official adaptation of Korean film 'An Ode To My Father'. As per reports, the film has several scenes set in the backdrop of a circus. The film is slated to release during the festival of Eid in 2019.
