PV Sindhu wants this Bollywood actress to play lead in her biopic

Speculations of a PV Sindhu biopic have been doing rounds on the internet. Around two years back, it was reported that Sonu Sood will be producing a biopic on the world champion, Sindhu.

Sindhu wants Deepika Padukone to play her role:
Talking about the project, Sood had said that when the champion won the Olympic medal, he thought of making a film and soon started researching her and that after reading her struggles, he was motivated to make the biopic. Several reports have suggested that Deepika Padukone will be playing the lead in the film, but there has been no confirmation as such. However, in a recent interaction with an entertainment portal" Would definitely want Deepika Padukone to play the character. She had played the game and is a good actor too. But then, the makers would take the final decision."

Akshay Kumar to play coach Pullela Gopichand?
The badminton coach was asked if he can address the speculation surrounding around actor Akshay Kumar playing his role for a PV Sindhu biopic. Responding to that, Gopichand said, "Well, if that is the case then I will be glad because Akshay is one of the actors that I admire, but other than that I don't know anything about it".

PV Sindhu wins gold
After PV Sindhu's historic win in the World Championships final against long-time rival Nozomi Okuhara on Sunday, the badminton sensation took to the micro-blogging site and wrote that she could not hold back her tears when she saw the national flag and heard the National Anthem playing. PV Sindhu then added that words could not express her feelings about her win at the World Championship.

Deepika Padukone's work front:
Deepika Padukone will next be seen in Chhapak'. The 33-year-old actor will essay the role of Laxmi, who at the age of 15, was attacked allegedly by a spurned lover in 2005. Laxmi had to undergo several surgeries. Later, she took up the job of helping acid attack survivors and promoted campaigns to stop such attacks. Her attacker, a 32-year old man, was an acquaintance of her family. Laxmi is a well-known advocate of stricter punishments in acid attack cases.
