official sypsis of film on IMDb res, "It's a story of one night where estranged lovers Kartik and Vasuki end up meeting each or after 12 years under strange circumstances. Kartik is on a run for being a murder suspect. However, re is more than meets eye."

movie is a thriller based on Atul Satya’s popular play Ballygunj 1990. Annup Soni who is playing role of protagonist, Kartik in film has also played a part in 1990 play. Dipannita Sharma plays role of Vaani Kapoor, woman who gets mysteriously murdered in film. Rahul Dev plays role of a cop who is in charge of solving Vaani's murder case and who has accused Kartik of being prime suspect. Paoli Dam plays role of Vasuki, Kartik's ex-girlfriend whom he comes running to, to seek shelter and to hide from cops.

According to Zee5, Raat Baaki Hai was shot in Rajasthan during pandemic last year. shooting location of Raat Baaki Hai was Ranthambore. Talking about his experience while shooting for film, Annup Soni said that makers decided to shoot for film in Rajasthan as y needed a fort look for movie. Since a major portion of story is about one night, Annup shared that ir sleep cycle was very different as y started shooting in evening around 6 and shoot would go all night long till 7 in morning. Paoli Dam in an interview with Telegraph shared that y have been shooting for movie at a palace in Ranthambore. She shared that she enjoyed typical Rajasthani food while shooting and loved to taste Rajasthani palette like Laal Maas, Gatta Khi, Dal Bati Churma and Pap Ki Sabzi.
