Rajesh Puri Kidnapping: The actor detailed his experience of being a victim of an attempted kidnap on the pretext of an event in the National Capital.

Rajesh Puri Kidnapping: In an interview, the actor best known for his role in Shweta Tiwari starter Parvarrish, has alleged that he had recently fallen victim to a foiled kidnap plan. Rajesh shared that he was invited to an event in Delhi and was even given an advance of Rs 35,000. However, he alleged that after picking him up, the drivers took him to the wrong route leading to Meerut.

Rajesh Puri shares attempted foiled kidnap plan

In an interview with a media publication, Rajesh Puri shared he recently fell victim to a kidnapping plot. He recalled being called to be a guest speaker at an event in Delhi. He shared that the organisers sent him a return flight ticket along with Rs 35,000 in advance. However, he recalled that when he was escorted out of the airport, the driver took some other route leading to Meerut instead of the city. He shared that before the event, the organiser had asked him to send a video and photo for the banner, to make it look legitimate.


He recalled that after being picked up from the airport, he was asked to switch cars midway. Rajesh shared that the new car did not have a number plate and the driver was wearing a mask which made him suspicious. He reiterated that they offered him to eat something at the dhaba when they were just 12 km from the destination.

How did Rajesh Puri escape the kidnap? 


In the same conversation  Rajesh Puri shared that as soon as he got suspicious of the motive, he began boasting of his connections in Delhi. He admitted that revelations made them uncomfortable and they dropped him off at a border. He recalled that the men told him that they were being followed by armed men who were demanding Rs 1-2 crore in exchange for their safety. He cautioned that he would not file a case, as advised by his lawyer friends.
