Tamil Nadu State Film Awards:

Rajinikanth has gained over 5 Tamil Nadu State Film Awards in his entire career. His first ever film award was presented to him by the Tamil Nadu State Film Awards in the year 1979. In Rajinikanth’s award list, he has won four awards as the Best Actor for Muthu, Padaiyappa, Chandramukhi and Sivaji; he has also won an honorary award in the year 1989 and 2 special awards for his films Mullum Malarum and Mondru Mugham.

Cinema Express Awards:

Rajinikanth has also bagged 5 Cinema Express Awards till date, all of the awards are under the subcategory of Tamil Film Industry. Rajinikanth’s award list proudly hosts Cinema Express Awards for as the Best Actor for Nallavanukku Nallavan, Sree Raaghavedar, Thalapati, Annamalai, Muthu and Baasha. He has received 5 Cinema Express Awards for 6 of his on-screen performances with Muthu and Baasha being in the same year 1995.

NDTV Indian of the Year:

Rajinikanth’s award list also has three NDTV Indian of the year awards. In the year 2008, Rajinikanth won the honour of Entertainer of the Year. Later, he received the award for being the Most Stylish Actor and the Entertainer of the Decade in the year 2011. Rajinikanth received the NDTV Indian of the Year awards for his performances in Sivaji and Enthiran.
