One of the most renowned actors, Rajinikanth has an upcoming film Darbar releasing in the year 2020. The actor was last seen in the movie Petta which was directed by Karthik Subbaraj. His upcoming film Darbar will be dubbed and released in Hindi at the same time with the original version which is going to be in Tamil. The movie will be directed by AR Murugadoss and bankrolled by Allirajah Subaskaran.

About the film Darbar
The movie is ready to hit the theatre worldwide during the festive season of Pongal. In the movie, Rajinikanth plays the role of a police officer. Although he was last seen playing the role of a cop in the Tamil film Pandian in the year 1992. It is said that the movie Darbar will be dubbed in Hindi just like his recent release Kabali and Kaala. Although Lyca Productions is yet to make an official announcement about it.

The poster of the movie was released a few months ago. The movie will also be dubbed and released in Telugu language. The movie also stars Suniel Shetty, Prateik Babbar, Nayanthara, Nivetha Thomas and Yogi Babu. While the songs in the movie are composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Recently in an interview conducted by new daily, the actor Prateik quoted that he is excited to share the screen space with the legend actor Rajinikanth. He further said that he cannot wait to meet him and observe him on set. Furthermore, the actor said that he will be investing his two hundred per cent in his role because it is a lifetime opportunity for him working with the veteran Rajinikanth.

In the month of July 2019, the director of the film teased his fans with two exclusive scenes from the film. In these images, the lead actor of the film Rajinikanth was seen oozing with style, while one of the other scenes featured him wearing khaki. Meanwhile, the actor is getting ready to commence work on his next yet-untitled Tamil project with director Siva. Dubbed Thalaivar 168, the film marks the maiden collaboration of the 68-year-old star and Siva.
