Rajkummar Rao & Priyanka Chopra to come together for a Netflix film?

Priyanka Chopra, who has made a comeback to Hindi films after 3 long years is going to be seen with Rajkummar Rao in a Netflix film, The White Tiger. The actor's new movie The Sky is Pink will be releasing this Friday in theatres worldwide. Meanwhile, Rajkummar will be seen in Made In China along with Mouni Roy. The film will be directed by Mikhil Musale and Priyanka will be co-producing it.

Priyanka Chopra and Rajkummar Rao to pitch in for a new movie?

Shooting for the film The White Tiger will begin this year in November, Netflix confirmed. The White Tiger is a novel which will soon be adapted and made into a Netflix movie. Priyanka had shared the news and said that she will be excited to work with Ramin Bahrani and Netflix to bring Arvind Adiga’s poignant story to cinematic life.

She also said that she had read the book and was fascinated with the perspective of the narrative. The story is about a driver who could go to any extent to achieve his goals. Priyanka also added that she is looking forward to filming the movie in India and that she is excited to work with Rajkummar Rao for the first time and the other wonderful cast the director puts together.

Rajkummar Rao also said that Netflix is coming up with many exciting projects for actors these days and he is thrilled to be a part of such a world-class project. He also said, he is an admirer of Ramin’s work and is excited to come to life.

Arvind Adiga’s book, The White Tiger is a darkly humorous book comparing the rural and the globalized cities of India, through the perspective of Balram Halwai, a tea-seller who goes on to become an entrepreneur in a big city. The book was released in 2008 and received The NewYork Bestseller and the ManBooker Prize award. The book speaks about the untold truth of the darker side of India referred to the rural society of India.

A lot of superstars are turning to Netflix, as the content in series like Sacred Games and Bard of Blood are viewed by audiences on a large scale. With the newly-introduced only mobile plan for Rs 199/-, they are expecting more memberships.
