Rajkummar Rao reveals his experience of preparing for Made in China

Actor Rajkummar Rao is one of the most versatile actors in Bollywood. The actor has garnered critical appreciation for his characters. The hard work and dedication he invests in his character is probably the reason why his characters seem lively on the big screen. He is widely loved for presenting his characters effortlessly on the screen. The actor will soon feature in his upcoming project Made In China, opposite Mouni Roy.

Sharing his experience of preparing for a Gujarati entrepreneur character, he mentioned in an interview with a leading daily publication that he used his real-life experience for the film. The Newton actor stated that he shared his real-life experience with the director Mikhil Musale when the latter was narrating some scenes from the script of the film Made In China with him. Rao, while addressing the challenges of travelling abroad, mentioned his visit to China and how it was tough for him to communicate with the local people there. Hailing a taxi or ordering food at the restaurant (since he is a vegetarian) was a task for him, he added. The actor believed that language was the major problem for him to interact with.

The Omerta actor has always gone the extra mile in the process of preparing for his character. It was reported that the actor survived on coffee and carrots for 20 days while shooting for the film Trapped. For his guest appearance in Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon starrer Raabta, he reportedly underwent the tedious process of applying prosthetics for five to six hours every day. The 35-year-old actor attended a three-week-long workshop for his last film Judgementall Hai Kya.

Details of Made In China
Made In China is an upcoming comedy-drama film, helmed by Mikhil Musale under the banner of Maddock Films and Jio Studios along with AA films. Apart from Rao, the film also features Mouni Roy, Paresh Rawal, Boman Irani, Amyra Dastur, Gajraj Rao, and Sumeet Vyas in a pivotal role among others. The story of the film revolves around Raghu Mehta, who is a failed businessman. The film will narrate his unusual and comical entrepreneurial journey from a Nepali handicraft dealer to a millionaire. Made In China is slated to release on October 25, 2019.
