Rajkummar Rao Starrer Srikanth Bolla Crosses ₹50 Crore Mark At Box Office 5 Weeks After Release

After a five-week theatrical run, Rajkummar Rao Starrer Srikanth Bolla has breached the ₹50 crore mark at the domestic box office.

Rajkummar Rao headlines the biographical drama Srikanth Bolla which narrates the life of the eponymous industrialist. The film hit the big screens on May 10. After a five-week theatrical run, the film has breached the ₹50 crore mark. 

Srikanth Bolla crosses ₹50 crore mark 

On June 18, the makers of Srikanth Bolla took to their social media accounts to share the latest update on the film’s box office. After the fifth Monday of release (June 17), the Rajkummar Rao starrer has minted more than ₹50 crore mark at the domestic box office. The lead actor of the film also shared the news and wrote, “The heartwarming saga of #Srikanth has won over audiences, achieving a fantastic ₹ 50.02 CR!”

Srikanth Bolla has been attracting audiences to housefull theatres ever since its release. The Rajkummar Rao starrer opened to a decent ₹2.25 crore and registered a positive growth in business ever since. 

Srikanth was a challenging role for Rajkummar Rao

In a recent interview with PTI, Rajkummar Rao opened up about how challenging it was for him, to take up the role of Srikanth Bolla. However, as an actor, that is exactly what Rajkummar is always on the lookout for. With Srikanth, it was a career first for the actor, essaying a visually-impaired individual - something that truly broadened his horizons as an actor.

He said, "I love challenges. And, something that scares me excites me even more. And Srikanth did that to me. I've never played a visually impaired man before. I didn't know if I would be able to do it. But that's the fun where you push yourself out of your comfort zone. There was so much research that had to be done. Whenever I get an opportunity like that, I totally cherish it."
