Rajkummar Rao's struggling day
While speaking to a news daily, Rajkummar revealed his struggles while growing up. He stated that he comes from a very humble background and there were times where he did not have any money. Rajkummar's school teachers helped him out financially by paying his fees for two years. He moved out of his city to become an actor and faced many issues while chasing his dreams. He stated that sometimes he would have as low as ₹18 in his bank account.

The actor completed his graduation in Delhi then went on to study acting at the Film and Television Institute of India, in Pune. He shared that even while studying in Pune he faced many issues. He shared that he could not buy a decent pair of clothes due to financial difficulties. He and his friend would go around the city on bikes for auditions.

While being in FTII, Rajkummar Rao would go to his friend's house to share meals if he did not have any food to eat. Rajkummar also talked about how he would borrow money from his friends in order to make ends meet. The place Rajkummar Rao has reached today in spite of the struggles he has reportedly faced may set an example for aspiring actors to continue working towards their big dream.
