Rajkummar Rao Teases 'One Major Film' Like Avengers In Horror Universe With Stree, Bhediya, Munjya

Rajkummar Rao is gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated movie Stree 2, co-starring Shraddha Kapoor. Ahead of the release, the duo appeared for an interview where Rajkummar opened up about the possibility of Stree, Bhediya and Munjya uniting in a film.

For the unversed, filmmaker Dinesh Vijan has created Maddock Supernatural Universe in which so far four movies have been released Stree, Roohi, Bhediya and Munjya. The upcoming movie, Stree 2 is the fifth instalment in the universe and will witness a crossover with Bhediya. Since the universe was announced, movie buffs have been waiting for the filmmaker to unite all the characters into one major film.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Rajkummar said "it is too early" to say if there is a plan for a movie where all four supernatural horror movies will unite. "But sure, that's the reason this universe is building; that eventually, we can have that one big film where we will have a villain like Thanos," he continued.

The actor added that before making a major movie out of all the characters they are building up the universe and when it reaches the top then they might think of making one major movie.

Shraddha Kapoor's take on Maddock Supernatural Universe

Shraddha, who plays a mysterious character in Stree, said she is proud of the Supernatural Universe as it has put India on the global map. "I thought it was a very smart idea considering Maddock's horror-comedy movies are being loved by all. That it is possible to interconnect the films; To get one character in another film and the other in the other. It will be fun that such a movie universe is coming from India," she added.

Stree 2 to have 3 to 4 cameos

In the same conversation when asked about the number of cameos that audiences can expect, to this, Rajkummar said that there are around 3 to 4 cameos. Shraddha added that all the cameos are special and it will be a treat to movie buffs.

Co-starring Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee, Stree 2 is slated to hit the theatres on August 15. It will clash with John Abraham starrer Vedaa and Akshay Kumar's Khel Khel Mein.
