This year, Ranbir won many awards for his role as Sanjay Dutt in Dutt’s biopic movie, Sanju. While accepting the award, he said that he has been in the industry for a decade now and he has learnt that a good body, a great skill set or great dancing skills are secondary. What an actor needs to do is to put up a good soul on-screen. If you as an actor are successful in doing so, then the audience will not only care for you and love you, but they’ll also want to be more like you and take something back with them.
In another award ceremony, when he won an award for the same role, he dedicated the award to his parents. He said that his father has been ill, however, when faced with a crossroads in life a person realises who he is and what he is. He further added that the only thing his father talks about is movies and about his insecurity pertaining to his performance and if he would get films after he gets back. He said that his father’s passion, love and madness towards films is what inspires him. He also thanked his mother for showing him unconditional and selfless love, care, and support for a difficult man at a difficult time.
