The film also features Anupam Kher and Supriya Pathak in significant roles. The film was widely appreciated by the critics for its offbeat premise.

Barfi! (2012)

The plot of the films revolves around the character Barfi who is deaf and cannot speak either. The character evolves in a very subtle way after falling in love with Jhilmil Chatterjee played by Priyanka Chopra in the film. The film was critically acclaimed and was given good ratings. It is directed by Anurag Basu and also stars Ileana D’Cruz in a pivotal role.

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013)

The character that Ranbir Kapoor plays in the film, Karan Thapar, changes evidently towards the end. This happens as he falls in love with Naina Talwar played by Deepika Padukone. The film did well at the box office. It is directed by Ayan Mukherji who also contributed to the story of the film.

Tamasha (2015)

This is another Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone film. The film revolves around the lives of Ved and Tara who fall in love with each other. Tara helps Ved heal and grow as a person. This is where the popular internet line “everybody needs a Tara in their life” comes from. The film is written and directed by Imtiaz Ali. A part of the film is shot in Corsica which was loved by the audience.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016)

Ranbir Kapoor’s character, Ayan Sanger, learns a lot from about friendship from Alizeh, played by Anushka Sharma. The film revolves around the life of Ayan who falls in love with his friend and gets his heart broken. The film is directed by Karan Johar. The film also features actors like Fawad Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
