Ranbir Kapoor, Yash And Sai Trend After Ramayana Announcement, Netizens Say, 'They Are Coming'

Ramayana: Ranbir Kapoor , Sai Pallavi and Yash starrer film is one of the most anticipated Bollywood movies of all time. The Nitesh Tiwari directorial is a duology that will be released on consecutive Diwalis in 2026. The much-awaited announcement has made the actors become the talk of town.

As soon as the makers officially announced Ramayana, social media users began trending the lead actors. While the makers have only confirmed Ranbir Kapoor in the film, Kannada actor Yash and Sai Pallavi are also known to be a pivotal part of the movie. The magnum opus is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and is based on a story by Namit Malhotra.

Users on X (formerly Twitter) took to their social media to celebrate the film announcement. Some touted the movie as the ‘biggest Indian film’ ever. Others wrote, called Sai Pallavi their ‘Queen Sita’ and shared that they could not wait for the film's release. Soon after the announcement, AI images of Ranbir, Yash and Sai as Ramayana characters flooded online with the caption, ‘they are coming’.  

Ramayana will release in two parts on Diwali 2026 and Diwali 2027 

Ramayana, a live-action film adaptation of the Hindu epic directed by Nitesh Tiwari, will be released in two parts on the festival of Diwali in 2026 and 2027, the makers said on Wednesday. "This epic adaptation brings to life one of India's most cherished tales with unmatched scale and visionary storytelling," a press release issued by the makers stated. Namit Malhotra shared the official announcement of Ramayana in an Instagram post.

"More than a decade ago, I embarked on a noble quest to bring this epic that has ruled billions of hearts for over 5000 years to the big screen. And today, I am thrilled to see it taking shape beautifully as our teams work tirelessly with only one purpose: to present the most authentic, sacred, and visually stunning adaptation of our history, our truth, and our culture – our 'RAMAYANA'– for people across the world," the producer wrote alongside the first poster of the film. "Join us as we fulfill our dream of bringing our greatest epic to life with pride and reverence… Part 1 in Diwali 2026 and Part 2 in Diwali 2027. From our entire Ramayana Family," he added.

Tiwari, known for directing films such as Dangal and Chhichhore, also posted the announcement on Instagram.
