Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda kick-started his career in the Hindi film industry with Monsoon Wedding in 2001. The actor garnered praise for this brilliant performance in the movie. After waiting for almost four years, Randeep appeared in Ram Gopal Varma’s crime thriller drama D in 2005. The film starring him in the lead role for the first time did not gain much attention from the audience. Randeep worked in various unsuccessful films before he bagged a role in Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai in 2010. This Milan Lutharia’s gangster drama was a turning point in his career. Later on, Hooda was recognised for his notable performance in Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster which also earned him an IIFA Award nomination for the best supporting actor.

Randeep Hooda also starred in Kunal Deshmukh’s crime thriller movie Jannat 2, which is a sequel to the Jannat series and Jism 2, which also is a sequel to the Jism series in 2012. Both these movies had extremely successful runs at the box office and Jannat 2 earned him a nomination for Stardust Award for best actor. Moreover, the Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster actor earned praise for his mind-blowing performances in these movies.

Adding to it, he also garnered critical acclamation for the road drama film Highway alongside Alia Bhatt in 2014, and biopics including Ketan Mehta’s Hindi erotic drama film Rang Rasiya in the same year. The actor won Stardust Award for best actor for Highway. Randeep aced the role of Sarbjit Singh in Omung Kumar’s biographical drama Sarbjit alongside Aishwarya Rai in 2016.

Randeep is a professional equestrian
Apart from his film career, Randeep Hooda has also acted in innumerable stage plays and he had also made his debut as a playwright with an adaptation of A Walk in the Woods. Surprisingly, the Highway actor is a professional equestrian who is a regular participant in show jumping, polo and dressage events. At an open dressage event in Delhi organised by the Equestrian Federation of India, the actor earned a silver medal.
