farmers-Government standoff over passing of three agricultural laws continued for 46th day on Sunday. While farmers continued to protest at Delhi borders, celebrities of film industry continued to express ir thoughts and support. In  latest, Randeep Hooda hoped for a 'speedy resolution' to controversy, while Punjabi singers Harbhajan Mann and Jazzy B spent time with farmers at Tikri Border.

Film industry celebrities on farmer protests 

A few farmers have passed away as y participated in protests. Randeep Hooda paid tribute to m and prayed for ir souls by holding a candle for m. Sultan star hoped that re could be a resolution to it at earliest, so that farmers could return to ir homes. 

Numerous Punjabi singers had reached borders to express ir solidarity with farmers. Harbhajan Mann and Jazzy B have been spotted on numerous occasions. y were once again seen, singing and entertaining farmers.

Farmer-government standoff continues

farmers are demanding withdrawal of three agricultural laws, fearing it would affect factors like Mininum Support Price (MSP) for ir produce, while government has clarified that MSP would continue.     

Meanwhile, ninth round of discussions between farmers and government ended in a deadlock on Friday. next round of meeting is scheduled to take place on January 15.

Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar had said after last discussion. "Today, Indian government's talks with farmers' unions started at 2 pm. talks were centred around three farm laws but decision could be taken today. Centre insisted that it will think about any alternative put forth by unions or than asking for repeal of laws. talks came to an end as alternatives were put forth today. Centre and farmers' unions have both decided that we will again hold talks at 2 pm on January 15,"
