Ranu Mondal recently reacted to Lata Mangeshkar's 'fame won't last' comment and stated that she is her junior and has always loved the veteran singer's music

Online sensation Ranu Mondal recently reacted to Lata Mangeshkar's comment on former saying that her newfound fame won't last. Responding to it Mondal said, that as far as '' is concerned she is younger to her and will always remain her junior. She n went on to exclaim that she has loved veteran singer's (Lata Mangeshkar)'s voice since childhood.

Lata Mangeshkar's comment:
For uninitiated, Lata Mangeshkar during a recent media interaction reportedly said that she will consider herself fortunate if someone is benefitted by her name and work, but she feels that 'imitation is t a reliable and durable companion for success.' As per media reports, Lata Mangeshkar said that by singing her song, or Kishore Kumar's song or Mohammad Rafi's song aspiring singers can get short-term attention, but it won't last.
Himesh Reshammiya backs Ranu Mondal:
Singer Lata Mangeshkar was quoted saying that aspiring singer will only get short term success if imitate works of yesteryear legends. Reshammiya, who has recorded two songs with Mandol for his upcoming film Happy Hardy and Heer, said Mangeshkar’s comments must be taken in right context.

“She has been inspired by Lata ji but one can become a legend like her. She is best. Meaning of Lata ji’s comment was that you can get inspired, it’s a good thing, but it’s t necessary to (do a) straight copy. Which she anyway hasn’t done,” he told reporters. re is a difference between being inspired by a singer and copying that person’s work, Reshammiya said.
