Deepika is seen playing the role of Queen Padmavati in the film alongside Shahid Kapoor who was seen as a Rajput ruler, Ratan Singh. The film takes a twist when a tyrant ruler attacks their kingdom because of his obsession with the Rajput Queen. The film was released in the year 2018 and managed to sum up a huge box-office collection of 585 crores INR. The film was directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and his project is the tenth among India’s highest-grossing films.

Bajirao Mastani
Here Deepika is seen playing the role of Mastani in the film. Ranveer Singh is Peshwa Bajirao. He is married to Kashibai, played by Priyanka Chopra in the film. Deepika plays the role of a warrior in distress who is assisted by Bajirao and his army in order to defeat the invaders. The two fall in love and try to maintain their bond after facing several problems due to complete opposition from their conservative families.

Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela
The main plot of the film revolves around two characters, Ram and Leela, who try to keep their love alive despite their families, which have been fighting with each other for 500 years. Here, Ranveer is seen playing the role of Ram and Deepika is seen adapting the role of Leela. The film is reportedly popular amongst millenials as it was a modern remake of William Shakespeare’s famous play, Romeo and Juliet with its own Indian twist.
