Ranveer Singh is considered one of the most talented young faces of Bollywood cinema. The actor made his debut with the 2010 film, Band Baaja Baaraat. Most of his films have been critically acclaimed like Lootera, Ladies vs Ricky Bahl and Bajirao Mastani. The actor is known to give his hundred per cent into the roles that he plays. The actor goes through the transformation required in order to look like his character. He can constantly be seen mentioned in the list of the most versatile actors of the country.

Ranveer Singh has acted in a number of films that required him to carry an intense and rugged look. He had to put up heavy makeup in some cases, to fit into the character. Ranveer Singh was muscular and bulked up for his role in the film Padmaavat as Alauddin Khilji. He was widely loved for this character, even though Khilji was the antagonist of the film. The actor had revealed in an interview with a leading daily that he had locked himself up in a room for 21 days. He even mentioned how he wanted to get into a dark space in order to fit into the role of Khilji. He spoke about how the isolation at his Goregaon house could have been a dangerous decision.

The next film that the actor featured in, was the Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy. In this film, the actor was expected to look lean and tanned. He took up the challenge and also achieved that. The actor even posted a picture showcasing the transformation that he went through for Gully Boy. His fans can be seen appreciating his dedication for the art and for doing justice to the character's portrayal.

Ranveer Singh will be seen as Kapil Dev, the former captain of the Indian cricket team. In the film '83. In an interview with a leading news portal, he spoke about how he stayed with Kapil Dev in his residence for ten days, in order to understand him on a personal level. During this period, he tried to understand the former athlete, his body language and his traits and also interacted with his family members. The film '83 is expected to release next year.

Ranveer Singh to be seen playing the role of Kapil Dev

Ranveer Singh will be seen next in the much-anticipated film, ’83. The film revolves around the Indian Cricket team and their victory in the year 1983. The film is being directed by Kabir Khan. In the film '83, Ranveer Singh will be seen playing the role of former Indian cricket team captain, Kapil Dev. The film will also star Deepika Padukone and Ammy Virk in pivotal roles. The film is being produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. '83’is expected to hit the theatres on April 10, 2020.
