Ranvir Shorey, Celina Jaitley condemn the violence at farmers' tractor rally in Delhi
Ranvir Shorey wrote, "Farmers have only the right to protest peacefully, not vandalising and violence. This elected govt. has the right to legislate reform."

26th January 2021 became an embarrassing day for country when a section of farmers entered Red Fort as part of ir tractor rally and violated symbol of dignity of India's democracy. Shocking and shameful visuals of farmers forcefully breaking barrices, vandalising buses, heckling police personnel, and cemented barriers with ir tractors were witnessed.
Condemning violence, Bollywood actors Ranvir Shorey and Celina Jaitley took to ir Twitter handles and echoed only one thought — 'Disappointed in our Kisaans'.

Jaitley, who is an Army kid, wrote, "y brought shame to our great nation on our 72nd #RepublicDay ir insinuators ruined our tricolours proud moment to celebrate glory of worlds largest democratic constitution & brave hearts of our nation."
Meanwhile, Shorey wrote, "Farmers have only right to protest peacefully, t vandalising and violence. This elected govt. has right to legislate reform."
Earlier, a clash broke out between police and protesting farmers after latter reached ITO and tried to push towards Lutyen's Delhi, prompting force to resort to lathi-charge and use tear gas shells against m. farmers who began ir march from different border points, much before time permitted to m for ir tractor rally, reached ITO in Central Delhi despite force denying m permission for it.

talks between Centre and farmers over three farm laws have been inconclusive even after 11 round of talks. While farmers' union refused Centre's proposal for suspending implementation of aforesaid legislation for one and a half years and said that y want repeal of laws, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar categorically said that Union government is rey for ar meeting only if farmers want to discuss this proposal.
