Rhea Chakraborty issues statement as SC allows CBI probe in Sushant case; makes big U-turn

Shortly after SC allowed the CBI to investigate the case into the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, filed by his family, Rhea Chakraborty has issued a statement

Shortly after Supreme Court on Wednesday allowed CBI to investigate death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, based on a case filed by his family in Bihar, accused Rhea Chakraborty has issued a statement through her lawyer Satish Maneshinde. statement says that Rhea will appear and face investigation by CBI as she has done earlier with Mumbai Police and Enforcement Directorate (ED). It also says that actor maintains that truth will remain same "whichever ncy" investigated case, in yet ar sharp U-turn, given that her entire plea was for Mumbai police only to handle case.

Hon’ble Supreme Court after examining facts and circumstances of case and report of Mumbai police has observed that it will be desired justice as Rhea herself called for a CBI investigation. Hon’ble Supreme Court also observed that due to allegations made by two states of political interference against each or, it would be in interest of justice to hand over case to CBI.

Since Court has Transferred investigation to CBI invoking its powers under Article 142 of Constitution of India, she will appear and face investigation by CBI as she has done earlier with Mumbai Police and Enforcement Directorate. Rhea maintains that Truth will remain same whichever ncy investigates case.

" Interviews, please. matter is still under investigation by CBI," Advocate Satish Maneshinde also appealed.

Prouncing verdict, single-judge bench of Justice Hrishikesh Roy said that Bihar Government was competent to recommend transferring case to CBI. apex court also asked Mumbai Police to hand over all evidence collected so far in case to CBI. state of Maharashtra refused option to challenge order, Justice Roy said.

apex court had, in its last hearing on August 11, reserved its judgment and asked all parties to file ir respective submissions in case. In order of Supreme Court accessed by Republic TV, Judge has also mentioned that accused cant dictate choice of ncy probing case.
