RARKPK Box Office Collection Day 14: Ranveer-Alia's film earns Rs 121.18 crore

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani has emerged as one of the biggest Bollywood releases of 2023. The Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer romantic drama has maintained a stronghold at the ticket window even in its second week. Now that the film is heading towards its third weekend, here’s how the film is performing at the box office.

• Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani was released on July 28.
• It managed to bring audiences to theatres despite competition from Oppenheimer and Barbie.
• RARKPK will face further competition from new Bollywood releases Gadar 2 and OMG 2. 

RARKPK to witness a drop at box office?

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, as per Sacnilk, is estimated to have earned Rs 3.50 crore at the box office on Day 14. Its total box office run in India has yielded Rs 121.18 crore so far. Despite releasing alongside Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer, which has been declared a hit in India by trade pundits, the Bollywood film managed to find its audience.

While the film was released alongside the Telugu film Bro featuring Pawan Kalyan, RARKPK has left it behind by a margin of Rs 40 crore approximately. Another contender for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is Jailer, which features Rajinikanth. Even on a Thursday, August 10 release, the film minted Rs 43.5 crore in India. It remains to be seen how RARKPK holds out in its third weekend and onwards.

OMG 2, Gadar 2 to dominate box office?

Sunny Deol returns with Gadar 2, 21 years after the first film. The advanced pre-sales for Gadar 2 indicate that the film is headed for a massive opening. While speaking with Republic Digital, trade analyst Sumit Kadel said that it will earn Rs 30-35 crore. He predicted, however, that OMG 2 will only mint Rs 7-9 crore on its opening day.

Analyst Ramesh Bala predicted similar opening numbers, though suggested that Gadar 2 will manage only around Rs 25 crore in opening figures.
