Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani box office day 6: Alia Bhatt film holds steady

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani hit the big screens on July 28. The film is headlined by Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt who reunited on screen four years after their film Gully Boy. The film has been registering a steady business at the domestic box office ever since its release.

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani inches towards Rs 100 crores

Alia Bhatt starrer Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani has been able to pull audiences into theatres ever since its release. The family drama relied on a positive word of mouth which has helped stopped the scales in its favour. No direct competition from any other major film also aided in the film’s successful run till now.

As per early estimates provided by industry tracking site Sacnilk, the Ranveer Singh starrer collected Rs 6.90 crores on a Wednesday. The numbers are positive given that it is a working day. This has taken the film’s total business to Rs 67.12 crores after six days.

Not just closer home, the film has been able to create chatter across borders as well. As per the latest data, the movie is on the path to collecting Rs 50 crores overseas in the first week of its run. Till Tuesday, the film’s global collection stood at Rs 46 Crores and is expected to cross Rs 50 Crores this week. Currently, Pathaan remains the highest-grossed Indian movie at the global box office this year. Time will tell if Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani can surpass the collection.
