Saaho: "If you steal my work, do it properly," says Jerome Salle

Prabhas' "Saaho" has some uncanny similarities with French filmmaker Jerome Salle's 2008 film "Largo Winch" and director has criticised makers of multi-lingual Indian movie for creating a "b" copy. "Largo Winch" is an action thriller based on Belgian comic book of same name, and post release of "Saaho" on Friday many social media users pointed out how film looked like a rip-off of successful French movie.

Salle, who was being tagged by a lot of users on microblogging site Twitter, seemed upset by team of "Saaho" and vised Telugu directors to at least make copy "properly". "It seems this second "freemake" of Largo Winch is as b as first one. So please Telugu directors, if you steal my work, at least do it properly?" Salle tweeted. This tweet came after a user on August 30, tweeted: "Buddy ar day and ar free make of your Largo Winch movie in India #Saaho. You are real Guruji." Salle immediately responded and said: "I think I have a promising career in India."
This is t first time Salle has accused Telugu filmmakers for stealing his work. In 2018, he h claimed that "Agnyaathavaasi", featuring Pawan Kalyan, was also a copy of "Largo Winch". film was written and directed by Trivikram Srinivas.
