The much-anticipated Diwali release, Saand Ki Aankh, will hit the big screens today, October 25. The sports-drama stars Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi  Pednekar in the lead roles. Recently, the makers of Saand Ki Aankh held a special screening for celebrities and the industry members. And the reactions from the celebrities who attended the screening have been encouraging and positive.

Some of the celebrities who praised the film were film directors David Dhawan and Milap Zaveri. David Dhawan said that the film was "superb" and a must-watch for everyone. Milap Zaveri, whose latest directorial film, Marjaawaan, is slated for release on November 15, said that the film was wonderful and had strong emotions. Other celebrities, such as director Karan Johar and actors Kartik Aaryan and Sidharth Malhotra, praised the film on Twitter.

Saand Ki Aankh is the directorial debut of writer Tushar Hiranandani. Bhumi Pednekar and Taapsee Pannu star as sharpshooters Chandro and Prakashi Tomar, who try to make their name in a male-dominated society. Vineet Kumar Singh and Prakash Jha also play pivotal roles in the film. Saand Ki Aankh is produced by Reliance Entertainment and Anurag Kashyap.
