'Saand Ki Aankh': Taapsee Pannu shares details about her preparations

It has been a great year for Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar with their back-to-back releases charming the audience in theatres. Taapsee and Bhumi will be next seen in their upcoming film Saand Ki Aankh. The movie revolves around the life of two sharpshooters, Chandro and Prakashi Tomar. Taapsee and Bhumi had to be a part of several training sessions to enhance the beauty of their characters in the biopic. Taapsee and Bhumi to enact octogenarians in Saand Ki Aankh
The biopic has managed to grab the attention of the audience with its unique cast. The story is based on the life of two sharpshooter octogenarians, who have nearly 700 medals under their belt. Bhumi Pednekar and Taapsee Pannu had to undergo several make-up and dialect sessions to get into the shoes of their characters. On a talk show, Taapsee Pannu recalled her experience in the film as one of her most special ventures. The Pink actor admitted that it was difficult to portray an octogenarian, as she has never done anything of the same sort before.

In a media interaction, Taapsee Pannu revealed that the makers of Saand Ki Aankh have left no stone unturned to make the film convincing. The actor revealed that the makers managed to create a replica of Chandro and Prakashi Tomar’s house. Taapsee Pannu also added that Chandro and Prakashi Tomar were often called on the sets for the actors, as to understand their characters better. Pannu joked about Chandro and Prakashi Tomar playing character consultants to the actors. She further revealed that a lot of efforts and time were invested to polish their accent for the movie.

Taapsee Pannu was last seen in Badla, which impressed fans and critics alike. Taapsee will be next seen in her upcoming sports-drama Rashmi Rocket and Womaniya. With the success of Lust Stories and Sonchiriya, Bumi Pednekar has become an actress to watch out for. Pednekar will be next seen along with Kartik Aryan and Ananya Pandey in Pati, Patni Aur Woh. The actor will also be seen in the multi-starrer Takht.

Saand Ki Aankh was shot in Johri village in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. The movie is produced under the banner of Reliance Entertainment. Directed by Tushar Hiranandani, Saand Ki Aankh will hit the theatres on October 25, 2019. Produced by Nidhi Parmar, the movie marks the second biopic of Bhumi Pednekar in Bollywood.
