Saif Ali Khan: Want to do age-appropriate roles, I don't want to be very young
Actor Saif Ali Khan on Tuesday said he wants to star in roles that suit his age and that made him take up his next film "Jawaani Jaaneman". Read details.

Actor Saif Ali Khan on Tuesday said he wants to star in roles that suit his and that me him take up his next film "Jawaani Jaaneman". In movie, billed as a quirky family comedy, 49-year-old actor plays a man who suddenly discovers he has a daughter, played by debutante Alaya, with his former lover, essayed by actor Tabu. "I am lucky to get varied roles like 'Omkara', 'Tanhaji... ' and se kind of films. Producer Jay Shewakramani came to me with this offer.
"He h script, but for one or two years we did t talk about it. I wanted to do -appropriate roles. I felt far's role was interesting. This part was cool and of a different kind," Saif told reporters. He was speaking at song launch of "Jawaani Jaaneman" here. Asked if he is afraid of getting older, actor said he never felt pressure.

"You have to be young at heart, you have to be good. I don't want to be very young, I don't want to be old eir. But I am happy... Till time, I am getting work I am ok. When I retire, I will retire, will chill. I like this idea of having some time for making money, some time to relax. re is a time for everything in life. And when that comes I will find or things to do, I will be very happy," "Sacred Games" star said.

Heaping praises on Alaya, daughter of former actor Pooja Bedi, actor said working with newcomer was a "brilliant" experience. "... new generation is so prepared as compared to what we were. I have worked with Shah Rukh Khan. And it was amazing, it was same energy," Saif said. Alaya said she was both nervous and excited about working on film.
"I could give my best only because I was surrounded by people who are best. Every day was fun, I felt rewarded and content after shoot. I am grateful I got to work with talented people," she said. Tabu has a cameo in film and Saif said she is one of best actresses in country. actor duo has worked toger in 1990s hits like "Hum Saath Saath Hain" and "Biwi 1".

"Anything she does comes alive. It is brilliant working with her," he ded. Directed by Nitin Kakkar, film is slated to be released on January 31. Saif is also co-producing film under his banner Black Knight Films, along with Pooja Entertainment and rrn Lights Films.
