Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt finally spoke about the fall out of the film 'Inshallah'. Their statements came at the Green Carpet of IIFA awards held in Mumbai.

Actors Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt, who were supposed to be a part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming project 'Inshallah', on Wednesday, finally spoke about the falling out of the cast, leaving fans upset. The statements by Khan and Bhatt came while speaking to media at the green carpet of the 20th edition of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards that was held in Mumbai on September 18th.

After being asked about what went wrong with the film, the ‘Dabangg 3’ actor said, "Currently, Inshallah is not being made. Inshallah will be made but at least not with me." Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt, after talking about her fondest memories with IIFA, went on to talk about ‘Inshallah' and said, “ Look, I was very excited to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali as well as with Salman Khan. I believe that sometimes some things happen which are not in our control. It is said that if you have to make God laugh, you should tell him your plans. Plans never go as per plans. But I can give you in writing that I’m going to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali very soon.”

Alia Bhatt won the Best Actress award at IIFA
Alia Bhatt's, on Wednesday night, took home the IIFA award for best actress for her film Raazi in which she played the role of a spy and was appreciated for the role by most. The film Raazi itself was awarded the Best Film at the Award function last night.
Salman Khan was seen at the award function with his 'Dabangg 3' co-star and daughter of Mahesh Manjrekar, Saiee. While introducing her, Khan, while talking about another Bollywood celebrity, Sonakshi Sinha, said, "It's so strange that long time back, Sonakshi Sinha was also introduced on the ramp at IIFA and now this is her turn.”.

Last month, Khan had tweeted on his official Twitter account saying that the Sanjay Leela Bhansali film was sheleved. He had also promised the audience that he would see them on Eid.

For the uninitiated, Khan and Bhansali go back together in history. They had first worked together in the filmmaker's debut movie 'Khamoshi: The Musical' (1996). 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' (1999), the film that also starred Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and that went on to become one of the biggest blockbusters of that time, was the last project that the duo worked together for.

On a related note, the filming of 'Inshallah' starring Alia Bhatt was going to begin in September after Salman would have wrapped up the shoot for 'Dabangg 3'.
