Salman Khan and Rohit Shetty’s posts fuels speculations
On Wednesday, Salman Khan shared a post on Twitter announcing the release date of Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi. The Akshay Kumar starrer is the fourth movie in Shetty's cop universe. The movie will hit theatres on March 27, 2020. Salman Khan mentioned in the caption that he considers Rohit Shetty as his brother and the latter has proved it. Salman’s post got netizens thinking if the two will work together. Later Rohit Shetty reposted the picture on his Instagram handle. He captioned it saying one can compete with the world but not with one’s family. This further fuelled the speculations. A fan had even asked in the comment section whether Chulbul Pandey will enter Shetty’s cop universe.
According to reports, Dabangg 4 might be directed by Rohit Shetty bringing in Chulbul Pandey to the cop universe. A source close to both the director and the actor had said since Dabangg 3 is already in making and set to release sometime this year, the fourth sequel will be directed by Rohit Shetty. There is also the possibility of the movie being an ensemble of the four cops since Chulbul Pandey already has a storyline. For the merger Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh might join the cast.
Rohit Shetty’s cop franchise started with the Ajay Devgn starrer Singham moving on to Singham Returns. Next, it was Ranveer Singh’s Simmba which hit the theatres. The Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi is postponed to March 27. However, the news was announced in an interesting way. Earlier, Sooryavanshi was supposed to clash with Salman Khan’s Inshallah at the box office. But Rohit Shetty seems to have shifted the date and the matter has been solved amicably.
