Sanjay Leela Bhansali's union with actor Salman Khan goes a long way back to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directorial debut Khamoshi: The Musical. Even though the movie was not successful, Salman Khan and Bhansali worked together again. The two returned with the iconic Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, which was a huge box office success. However, there had been news that their relationship had soured after a few years. Salman Khan had allegedly also made some nasty comments about Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Guzaarish.

Salman Khan on Sanjay Leela Bhansali

Salman and Bhansali were to work together in Inshallah. However, the movie is said to be shelved now. Salman Khan says that, even after everything, he still shared a great equation with the filmmaker. When he was asked in a group interview, if he would like to work with director Bhansali in the future, Salman said, that the director is a very dear friend and he will always look forward to working with Bhansali. He also added that ‘Inshallah’ means ‘Gods will’ and to him, it does not look like God was willing at this point of time. "Currently, Inshallah is not being made. It will be made but at least not with me," the 53-year-old actor told news agency ANI.

Inshallah shelved

It has been nearly over two decades since the two were seen working together. But, to everyone’s surprise, superstar Salman Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali were going to reunite for a love story titled Inshallah, featuring Alia Bhatt as the leading lady. The announcement of Inshallah excited the fans. The audience was eagerly waiting for the actor-director duo to create magic on big screens again. The release date for the movie was said to be around Eid 2020. Unfortunately, reports confirm that the much-anticipated, Inshallah may not go on floors.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s pure fondness for Salman Khan

In an interview, when Sanjay Leela Bhansali was asked about his soured relationship with Salman Khan, he said that it is true that the two have had issues in the past, but whenever they meet, they catch up from where they left off the last time. The director also adds that his fondness for Salman Khan is pure and once the actor offers his friendship, even if you are not on talking-terms for long, he will always be there to support in times of need. According to Bhansali, despite everything that happened in the past, Khan instantly said yes to Inshallah.
