Salman Khan’s ‘Notebook’ team contributes Rs 22 lakh for families of martyrs of Pulwama attack; Saif Ali Khan pays his respects
The team of the upcoming film ‘Notebook’ will be donating Rs 22 lakh to the welfare of the martyrs' families. India is currently mourning the loss of 40 CRPF soldiers who were martyred in the dastardly terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama last week. Stars from the film industry, apart from expressing their sadness and anger, are now coming forward to contribute to the welfare of the martyrs' families. The team of the upcoming film ‘Notebook’ will be donating Rs 22 lakh to the cause.

Salman Khan’s banner Salman Khan Films is one of the producers of the film, along with their partner production house on the film, Cine1 Studios, issued a joint statement regarding their decision.
The film has been shot in Kashmir, and the makers conveyed their gratitude to the Army, CRPF and locals for ensuring the shooting went smoothly. They also praised the forces for ensuring law and order even in the most extreme conditions and extended their prayers for the martyrs and condolences to their families.

A few days ago, Minister of State for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju had thanked Salman for his contribution for the martyrs' families through his charity.
Amitabh Bachchan, teams of ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’, ‘Total Dhamaal’, among others have announced about contributing for the welfare of the martyrs’ families.

Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan paid tribute to the martyrs. A picture of the actor paying his respects to the jawans at Amar Jawan memorial, reportedly in Delhi, has surfaced. The actor recently visited his ancestral house in Pataudi.

Saif, who’s not on any social media platform, released a statement, "On behalf of my family, my thoughts and prayers are with the families of the jawans who have lost their lives serving our country. Deeply upset and saddened by what has happened."
